Stock Raising

Only during the past few years has the farmer of this country given any special attention to live stock, but we are glad to note a most remarkable growth in this industry. Breeders associations have been organized and thoroughbred stock, especially hogs and cattle, are being given special attention. The wonderful growth of red clover, alfalfa, cow peas, soy beans, sorghum and all kinds of forage crops, together with the very best corn, gives us the best of feed stuffs at the lowest possible cost. But in addition to this, we have cotton seed products, conceded the best known feed for cattle. There is no visible reason why Northeast Arkansas and Greene County in particular should not lead all other parts of the country in live stock business.
