BROOKS' PHARMACY
An institution that touches many sides of the average life is the modern drug store. We go there when in need of medicine, for candy or soda water when on pleasure bent or for convenience when we wish a stamp or the use of a 'phone. We like to be on terms of intimate acquaintance with the nearby druggist. Very prominent among the first class drug stores of Paragould, is Brooks' Pharmacy, located at 202 South Pruet Street. Here is carried one of the most complete lines of drugs and allied specialties to be found in this city or section. The prescription department is under the personal supervision of registered pharmacists with extensive experience and marked ability in this profession. The fixtures in use are of the very latest type, and a special feature of the establishment is a large and handsome soda fountain with a twelve foot solid white corizza counter and a number of neat serving tables of the very latest design. One of the special lines carried id "Norris" fine candies. A large refrigerator candy case enables the concern to keep candy in the most perfect condition even in the warmest of weather. Brooks' Pharmacy is one of the most popular establishments in the city, and is a credit to it owner as well as to the city. Mr. Brooks is a young man of fine business qualifications and excellent standing in both business and social circles. Prior to locating here he was connected with this same line at Blytheville for six years. He first formed a partnership with G. T. Inman, but later disposed of his interest in that concern and embarked in business under the present style. His upright bearing, close attention to details and courteous treatment of patrons have enabled him to place his establishment among the strong, growing and successful lines of business of the city. THE DAILY PRESS AND WEEKLY SOLIPHONE Paragould has two first-class newspapers___The Daily Press and the Weekly Soliphone. Both are well edited, liberally patronized and have large circulations. These publications are both printed at the same office. The printing plant is equipped with a Duplex Perfecting press. Model 14 Mergenthaler linotype and all other up-to-the-minute conveniences. Griffin Smith is editor and manager and Rupert Wright is advertising manager. Both are business men of marked ability and have always been foremost in pushing Paragould and Greene County to the front. MABERRY'S CAFE A community is very often judged by the quality of its restaurants, and when these very necessary institutions are of that standard which characterizes the business conducted under the name Maberry's Cafe, it goes a long way toward convincing the casual observer that the town supporting it must be at least worth while. The business is located at 117 North Pruet Street. Here is served the choicest of everything good to eat that the markets aford and at reasonable prices. Short orders are served at all hours. A complete stock of fruits, candies, cigars, tobaccos and cold drinks is carried and they also have nicely furnished rooms for rent by the day, week or month at moderate prices. This
business is owned by O. E. Maberry, a man of wide experience in this line
and a citizen of good standing in the business circles of the city. He has
