Young Cemetery,
Viola, Fulton County, Arkansas
Young Cemetery is near Viola, Arkansas, in Fulton
County, location T20N-R9W- Sec., Fulton Township, Flint Springs and Shady Grove
communities.
This cemetery is in the center of the Thurlo Ray
Minge farm.
The cemetery is deteriorated with trees, brush and thicket.
Thirty-three visible graves with only seven graves that have markers with
inscriptions and one of these is a rock inscribed.
This inventory was prepared by Erceil Shrable in 1988 and submitted by Jim Young.
Mr. Young stated that the property where the cemetery is located was once owned
by Lewis Jackson Young and his wife, Elizabeth Mires Young.
They sold this property to their son, Leonard Jasper Young, shortly before
Lewis died in 1890. Elizabeth
remarried to G. W. Ham in 1895.
Leonard sold the land in 1914 to John W. Carroll.
