Mineral Springs School

Mineral Springs School is located just south of Pittston Junction on Pink Twist Road. The water for the school was obtained from Mineral Spring just east of this school. The foundation of the school remains can be seen on the left side of the road heading north.

Norman Powell said that the teacher, Jonah Yates later became a prominent attorney in Ozark. Jonah is the gentleman wearing the white shirt on the left.

The blonde headed girl seated third on the porch is Winnie Magene McIlroy.

The last girl top row right in pigtails (next to the door) is Edna Geraldine McIlroy.

Both girls are children of Charles and Mary McIlroy
