Date: | 24 November 2002 | My great grandparents were W.A. Allen and Laura Caroline Bowman Allen from Tennessee. They were married September 5, 1878 in Madison County, Tennessee. They moved to Faulkner County, Arkansas and are on the 1880 Census. They had 4 children that I know of: Ben F. Allen (my grandfather) Walter A. Allen, Amanda Beatrice Allen and Audie Allen. My grandparents were Ben F. Allen and Josie Ellen Hale Allen. They were married on July 1, 1911, but I do not have a county. My grandparents lived in Faulkner County in 1900, 1910, and 1920. My grandfather was a Census taker for the 1920 Census. I would love to find out when my great grandparents died. I know my great grandfather W.A. Allen must have died after the 1920 Census because my great grandmother Laura Caroline Bowman Allen married a George W. Lewis on February 15, 1922 in Faulkner County. She is alive as late as 1934 when I found her in a City Directory of Little Rock. Please if any one could help on my Allen's I would greatly appreciate it. |
