Cotham family connection to Donham/Green family Is there anyone out there that can help me? I have found a census record listing Edward Cotham as the nephew of James F. Donham and Susan Ann Green Donham in the 1880 census in Bearhouse, Drew Co., Ar. James F. Donham is my great great grandfather. I have the entire Donham family documented, but I still can not find the Cotham connection. I do remember my grandmother mentioning the Cotham family years ago, but I never knew the connection. I was raised in Lincoln County, Arkansas. I am the great grand daughter of Leacy Carter and John Joe Leonard and Linzy Martin Johnson and Annie Stringfellow on my mom's side and Needham Lee and Bettie Seals and John Leroy Ratterree and Nancy (Nanny)Jane Harrison on my dad's. This makes me related to half of Lincoln and Drew counties, I sometimes think. I would love to exchange information and share ideas for further research. I have photos of a lot in the families and will gladly share whatever information I have. |

I am looking for any information on the family of Benjamon WARRINGTON who lived in Drew County in the 1860's-1870's. His daughter, Eva Ella WARRINGTON, married Sam Benson from Louisiana. Her daughter, Metta Benson was born in Monticello in 1890. Eva is shown in the 1870 census in her father's household. She would have been about 5 years old. Also, looking for her daughter's family - Metta Benson and Anderson Hammond around the turn of the century (1900). Their first child was born in Monticello. Any information appreciated and will share if we make a match. |
