Funeral service for Oliver Jacobs 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Bethel AME Church. Mr. Jacobs passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the age of 88. The son of Jack and Pearl Junior Jacobs was born January 21, 1919 in Thorothan, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Alberta Jacobs, and brother Wilmer Jacobs. Survivors include his stepson, Calvin Brown of Claremore; niece , Minnie Craig and husband Isiah of Carthage, Arkansas; great-nieces, Ebonie Dawn and Keiana Craig of Carthage, Arkansas; great-nephew, Norman Jacobs Sr.; 8 great-great nieces and nephews; special cousins, Ora Harper of Fordyce, Arkansas, Grover “Jake” Jacobs of Carthage, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Julia Redwine; caregiver, Essie Reaves; special friends, Curtis Cunoley, and R.D. Kirkland and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
