Vivian Frances Parham

Vivian Frances Parham, 89, died in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Little Rock on Thursday, August 7, 2008. Frances was born in Fordyce, Arkansas. She lived in Temperance Hill, Arkansas until 2002 when she moved to Good Shepherd Retirement Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and John Massey of Fordyce, Arkansas, her husband Robert Gerald Parham, and a son, John Richard Parham. She is the mother of Robert Gerald Parham, Jr. and a daughter, Carolyn Parham Young and her husband, Mike Young. She has five grandchildren, Melanie Parham Fox, Gregory Lewis Parham, Janis Parham Thibault, Mathew Parham Young, and Joseph Benjamin Young. She has six great-grandchildren, all live in Little Rock. She is also survived by her two sisters, Lois Marshall of Fordyce, Joyce Bright of Prescott, AR. Frances was very fond of her large family and was known for her hospitality for that large family. She was “Aunt Frances” to many, many and she absolutely loved it. Frances Parham was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fordyce, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will follow at Temperance Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
