Eula Talbert

CARTHAGE -- Eula Belle Orr Talbert, 93, of Carthage (Dallas County), died Monday at Fox Ridge Estates Assisted Living Center at Bryant.

She was born Jan. 7, 1911, at Leola (Grant County), a daughter of the late William Thomas Orr and DeLillie Ann Crowder Orr.

She was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church near Carthage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Talbert; one daughter, Barbara Carolyn Talbert; and three sisters, Odetta Riggan, Mary Jane Talbert and Lona Raines.

Survivors include one son, Glen Edward Talbert of Sheridan; one daughter, Janie Kauffman of Bryant; two brothers, Johnny Orr of Malvern and Harley Crowder of Prattsville (Grant County); one sister, Josie Russell of Malvern; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. John Brown and Mark Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Springs Cemetery near Carthage by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan.
