Robert C. Lowry
Lt. Col. (Retired) Robert C. (R.C.) Lowry, age 65, of Edgemont,
Arkansas, died at his home on Thursday, November 7, 2002.
Col. Lowry was born September 8, 1937, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
He was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School and Ouachita Baptist College,
in Arkansas, with a Master Degree from New England University, Massachusetts.
He served 22 years in the Infantry of the United States Army, and was a member
of Special Military Active Retired Travel Club, where he served as president.
He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Greers Ferry, Arkansas.
Lowry was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin Wesley Lowry and Lula
Beatrice Porter Lowry.
Surviving him are his wife, Stella Ann Piotrowski Lowry, of Edgemont, formerly
of Marlinton; daughter, Mary Lynn Melvin, of Pamplico, South Carolina; twin
sons, Donald Lowry, of Texas, and Ronald Lowry, of Daggett, Michigan; six
grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Thomas E. Lowry, of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
Funeral services were held at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia
on Monday, November 11. Burial with military honors was at the DeLamar Cemetery
in Manning, Arkansas.
