HERON/DEMOSS
I am searching for Gus/Gussie Heron born circa 1880, place unknown.
Not sure where or when he died, but possibly around 1905. He married Elizabeth
DEMOSS between 1900 when she was listed as a 15-16 year old on the 1900
Arkansas census. Their first child, Willie Addison, was born in 1902. The
second child, Rube, was born in 1904. Gus and family were known to have
traveled from Waldo, AR to Goodpine, LA on the train to visit Elizabeth's
relatives, the BUTLERS. Gus was believed to be a musician who played the
fiddle and traveled around playing music. He also had a sister named Odessa/Lodessa.
Would appreciate any help and will share what I have.

active member of Masonic Lodge of Magnolia and Arkansas Masonry. We visited
Campbell's gravesite in City Cem. last year. Campbell's wife was "Minnie".

on this family. William R. King, Jr.
KING
I am researching my ggrandmother, Sarah King, who was listed in the
1880 Columbia County census with her children. My ggrandfather, Robert

somewhere in Arkansas. The family had moved to Arkansas from Coosa County
Alabama approximately 1878-79. My grandfather, Beneja John Robert King,
was born in Arkansas in 1882. The family moved to Lincoln Parish, Louisiana,
shortly thereafter. Any help with this branch of the KING family would
be appreciated. Also, any historical records concerning a prison in this
area is much needed.
