I am looking for any information on the I'm searching for the life,
death, and burial of Levi Hillary WOOLEY and his first wife, Miriam C.
W_____. They moved from Alabama to Columbia Co., Arkansas in the 1850's.
Miriam was dead by 1874, because the widower, Levi Wooley married Elizabeth
BRUCE 1 Oct 1874. Levi & Miriam had at least four children: Two daughters,
Dorthula & Mary 'Mollie', married SMITH brothers, Daniel D. & Jesse
T. SMITH; Albert, b. 1869, was mentally retarded and (after father, Levi,
died after 1900) lived his remaining existence at the Columbia Co. Pauper
Farm, which was manage by Jesse T. SMITH. That's about all I know. Any
help would be appreciated.
ODOM/HARE/HAIR/HAIRE
Lindsey "Lucy" White married first Henry Bryan HARE in Demopolis, Alabama.
They had several children including Mary Anna Hare in 1823, Dennis Calhoun
Haire in 1824 (my forefather), Mildred "Millie" Hare in 1834, Henry Bryan
Hare Jr. in 1837, and Elijah Hare in 1838. Then she was left a widow. Later,
on March 12, 1844 in Marengo County Alabama, she married Presley ODOM and
moved to Kemper county Mississippi before the 1850 census. That year one
son, Jacob ODOM was born. In the next ten years, she and her some of her
children by H.B. Hair, and her son, Jacob ODOM, moved to Ouachita and Columbia
County Arkansas. They resided in Stephens, Arkansas vicinity. One source
of my information states that Lindsey ODOM died in 1860. Another states
that she lived until 1907, and was buried in the Old Catholic Cemetery
in Stephens. That cemetery was on private land and not accessible in 1992.
Can anyone shed light on this contradictory information. If so, please
e- mail me at BRWilsons@Aol.com

McCray. There is a street named after my grandfather in Magnolia...McCray
Street. I am especially interested in finding the AfroAmerican origins
