"The W. R. Wynne home on Missouri Avenue was a local showplace in town,
regarded as one of the finer new residences. The colored glass that was
featured in the upper window sashes was the last word in elegance and was
carried through even to the front attic windows.
"An iron fence completely encompassed the block. Following the death of Mr. Wynne and the marriage of his widow, the property became a rent house and reach the nadir of its existence in the Depression of the 30's [sic] when it was used for a hay barn. The Earl Days and E. W. Cochrans purchased the site and have built homes on them [sic]."
