"Grain harvesting had been modernized from hand operated cradle and scythe to the steam powered threshing machine.  Meeting the monster on the road with smoke pouring out of the smokestack was as frightening to a team of horses as could be.  Ready for harvest, the machine was attached to the thresher with long belts and the harvest began."
