Lewis

Jeremiah Tucker Lewis was son of Jeremiah T. F. Lewis and Phoebe Vickers.  He was born 10 May 1849 in Hamilton County, IL and died 23 March 1934 in Piggott, AR.  His wife, Adeline Johnson was the daughter of Robert Alexander Johnson and Caroline (?).  She was born 13 September 1852 in Hamilton County, IL and died 16 June 1925 in Piggott, Clay Co., AR.

James W. Lewis (1868-1945) and his daughter Chloe Lewis (1902-1985).  The photo was taken about 1907.  In the background is the old Clay County Courthouse.  James was a rural mail carrier for many years, and it is believed that this is the buggy he used on his route.
