Frisco Stave Company, 1910
The Frisco Stave Company, located between the main line of the Iron Mountain Railroad and the West bank of Corning Lake was one of the first decade of the 20th century that located in Corning to take advantage of the abounding supply of timber suitable for staves and the cheap labor market.
Many of the Corning pioneers who settled in Corning when the Cairo and Fulton laid rails between Cairo and Little Rock were brought to town by timber activities.
