"Bertha (Schwinegruber) James was born in 1910, and she is second from the left in the first row. The barefoot boy behind her is her brother, Rades. And on the right, I think the uniformed boy was wearing a costume popular with children during WWI or circa 1918.
In June 1910, Oscar M. Williams, a Corning contractor, won the bid to build a brick schoolhouse in Datto for $5000. He began the project in July, and by opening day in November, Datto had a new school at the cost of nearly $6000."
