This land was homesteaded by Mr. & Mrs. Tom Sides and a portion was set aside for a cemetery.  Early in life Tom's wife, Margaret Virginia (Young) Sides, had picked out a spot to be saved for her burial.  It was
in deference to her wishes she was brought back from Wichita Falls, Texas where she died 15 Jan 1914.  She was born in Weakley Co., Tenn.  The services were held at Monea College Auditorium in Rector.  The Sides were married 11 Feb 1872 and were the parents of fourteen children.
