Hillsboro Cemetery
Hillsboro Cemetery is located up a steep and forested hill along the old Rector-Greenway road, that runs northeast from Rector. This cemetery is situated near the old Military Trail that was traveled back in the 1800s by settlers, Civil War troops, etc., that traveled from St. Francis, Ark. down to Gainsville in Greene Co., along Crowley's Ridge. Hillsboro is likely the oldest surviving cemetery in the Eastern District and maybe in all of Clay Co. It is not far from Mary's Chapel Cemetery, and both of them were located in the early settlement of Oak Bluff.
