"The Spring fire of 1906 razed the East side of West Second street from Hop
Alley to Vine and D. Hopson, banker and land owner built two brick business
rooms in 1907. R. E. L. Brown's drugstore and soda fountain rented the
North room and Till Toalson, who had been the baker for the burned L. G. West
bake shop in the burned St. James block, rented the room on the South.
Toalson is the Irishman standing in the doorway and his customer have lined up
with him to make the scene. Arthur Gallegly, Perry Crim and John Gallegly
in the doorway. Jerome Coleman, Ferd Phipps and Ed Hall on the edge of the
sidewalk."
