Will of Isaac LangstonWill of Isaac Langston The certificate thereto are duly recorded in Book 2 page 24 & 25 In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at office, in Warren this 27th day of October A. D. 1865 Wm. G. Wiess, Clerk by Wm. J. Lephiew, D. C. The State of Arkansas Bradley County In the name of God amen. Know all men whom it may concern that I, Isaac Langston of the state and county of aforesaid being diseased and in low state of health and knowing the imutability of human life, but of sound mind do ordain and decree this as my last will and testament. In consideration of the love and affection i bear to my wife Amelia Langston. 1st I give and bequeath to her all the lands and tenements whereon I now live, two hundred bushels of the present crop of corn and so much fodder as may be necessary to feed one horse to make a crop with and all the growing crop of potatoes, and tobacco, one horse mule, two cows, and calves, two ewes and lambs and all the hogs (except one sow) (a spotted sow) -- and all the poultry, one large wash pot and large ? & lid, one spinning wheel, one table and dresser (or cupboard) all the barrels, one bed and furniture, two besteads, one chest, all my chairs all my farming utensils and gears and one side saddle. 2nd It is my desire that the balance of my property shall be sold at publick auction and after all my lawful debts are paid the balance (if any) to be equally divided between all my lawful heirs except my oldest son, Willis Langston who owes me $60 which must be deducted out of his part before he receives anything and also $27 which Moses C. Langston owes me which must be deducted out of his part before he receives anything. 3rd the portion given to my wife Amelia Langston to remain hers during her natural life (or widowhood, - but if she chooses to marry (or dies) then the remain of the property which is not consumed shall be equally divided between all my lawful heirs---- 4th It is my desire that my friend and neighbor Allen Cox be my sole executor, to carry this will into effect and that he receive, for his services, whatever the law allows as executors of an estatte to be paid out of the estate. 5th I do hereby acknowledge this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 8th day of August A.
