Will of Elisha H. Boyet
In the name of God Amen:
The 19th Day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and sixty three
I, Elisha H. Boyet of the County of Bradley and the state of Arkansas, Being
through the blessings of God: in a sound state of mind and memory, but calling
of mind the frail tenure of this life and that it is appointed to all men once
to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say, I
give bequeath and dispose of it in the manner and proportion here following:
First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Ann Boyet two hundred acres of
land the numbers of which I have in my possession, is hers during her lifetime,
after which time the land shall be my son Jesse T. Boyet, I want all the stock
and partainance to the farm to remain on the farm, except one cow and calf
which I give to Mary Merrill, one negro woman and child to serve my wife during
her lifetime. At her death J. T. Boyet shall have the child and I want the
servant woman sold and the proceeds divided equally, between my sons R. H. Boyet
and James M. Boyet. I also have a claim on three hundred and sixty acres of
land lying to the Moro Bottoms which I wish my three sons attend to and divide
it equally between them and at the death of my son J. T. Boyet if he has no
heirs the property which I have willed him, I want to fall back of my other
two sons above named, and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannull
all and every other testament, wills, legacies, bequest, and executors by me
in any way before named wills and bequested satisfying and confirming this and
no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affix my seal the day and year first above mentioned

Before the clerk in vacation on this the 7th day of October 1865 Personally
appeared before me W. G. Wiess Clerk of the Circuit Court and ExOfficio Clerk
of the Probate Court within and for said County of Bradley and state aforesaid
J. N. Ervin and J. M. Boyet who being by me duly sworn says that Elisha H. Boyet
Testator to the foregoing will did sign seal publish and declare the same to be
his last will and testament in our presence and in presence of each other whose
names appears to the said will as witnesses, who in the presence of each other
and at his request and sign our respective names thereto as witnesses
