Pianist was Zan Michel and special music was presented by a community choir under the direc- tion of Elgin Harrod. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Don Jackson, Larry Sharp, Charles Cauley, Bobby Michel, Charles Roy Har- rod, Joe Best, Glen McNeice, and Van Temple. Geoffrey York 96 Geoffrey York, age 73, of Hermi- tage, died Monday at Baptist Medi- cal Center in Little Rock. Born May 7, 1923 in Ingalls, he was a son of the late John Downey and Lillie Dale Hargis York. He was a retired employee of Potlatch Corporation, a member of Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church, a World War II Air Corps veterans, and a member of York Deer Club. Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Wooley York whom he married December 6, 1947 in Hermitage; 2 sons, Randy York and Danny York, both of Hermitage; 1 daughter, Gwen Huitt of Hermitage; 5 grand- children and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Frazer's Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Reed and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. |
Janice Sullivan was organist. Soloists were Melvin Mills, Law- ana Mann and Wayman Mann. Burial and commital service was in Union Hill Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Douglas and Rev. Buddy Burton officiating. Active pallbearers were Charlie Rauls, Bobby Michel, Freddy Har- rod, Dale Ledbetter, John Lansdale, Leonard Hicks, Ben Garner and Joe Huitt.
