General Tatum, Jr. ObituaryGENERAL TATUM, JR. (1942-2002) General Tatum, Jr., age 60, of Warren, died Saturday, September 28, 2002, at the Bradley County Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1942, in Warren, the son of the late General Tatum, Sr., and Ruth Mae Tatum. He was a Millwright at Potlatch. Survivors include 3 children, Timothy Wells Tatum (Chantae) of Little Rock, Dennis Tatum of New York and Wanda Tatum of Milwaukee, WI; 6 sisters, Mary Smith, (Virgil) of Warren, Gloria Tatum, Viola Wade (Carl), Beverly Tatum, Sherry Tatum, all of Milwaukee, WI, and Vanessa Tatum of Oaklyn, NJ; 3 brothers, Kenneth Tatum (Joann), Larry Tatum (Kimberly), Anthony Tatum, all of Milwaukee, WI; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Karen Hampton. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, 3 brothers, Billie Tatum, Bobby Tatum, and Victor Tatum; and one sister, Kathlyn Tatum. Funeral services were Saturday October 5, 2002, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, South Warren with Rev. S. T. Warner officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home.
