Mrs. Lula Kelly succumbs at 82

Mrs. Lula Kelly, 82, of Warren, died Monday, July 24, at the Pine Lodge Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 20, 1884, the daughter of Jessie Adams and Martha Colvin Adams.

She was a housewife and a member of the Farmerville Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her husband, John W.Kelly of Warren; four sons, Wilson Kelly of Central Islip, New York, Preston Kelly of Warren, Leonard Kelly of Warren, and J. W. Kelly, Jr. of Warren; three sisters, Mrs. P. J. (Belle) Castleberry of Warren, Mrs. Ned McDuffie Hettie) of Hampton and Miss Nettie Adams of Hampton; and 6 grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 26 at Hickory Springs Shurch, with the burial in Hickory Springs Cemetery.

Officiating were Reverand Carl Wheeler, Billy McManus, and Harold Rogers.

Pallbearers were Lloyd and Curtis Adams, Gorman Grider, Clarence Castleberry, W. A. Bryant and Tommy Castleberry.
