Clarence Albert PooleHis obituary as it appeared in the Arkansas Gazette: Crossett - Clarence Albert Poole, aged 63 of Crossett died Tuesday, July 13, 1976. He was a retired mechanic and a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lola Mae Vines Poole; three sons, Willie C. Poole of Fountain Hill, and David and Nolan Poole, both of Crossett; three daughters, Mrs. Nora Bozeman of Hamburg and Mrs. Jean Morrow and Mrs. Sarah Edwards both of Crossett, a brother, Lewis Poole of Warren and 11 grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crossett First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Pinewood Memorial Cemetery by Jones Funeral Home. Lola Mae Vines PooleLola Mae Poole, 83, of Crossett died Monday, January 7, 2002, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born on December 26, 1918, in Bradley County to Willie and Hettie Gorman Vines, she was a devoted mother and homemaker and an active member of the First Assembly of God in Crossett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence A. Poole; two sons, Albert Dan and Willie Clyde Poole; and a daughter, Bessie Lorene Poole. Survivors include two sons, David and Nolan Poole; three daughters, Nora Johnson and Sara Battaglia, all of Crossett, and Jean Helmer of Springdale; two sisters, Vera Otulak of Baldwin Park, CA, and Ruby Vines of Warren; 13 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, 14 nieces, nine nephews, and her church family and friends. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 10, in the First Assembly of God with Bro. Bob Perry and Rev. Norman Riordan officiating. Pallbearers were Tim, Kerri and Mike Poole, Wayne Mosley, Tony Battaglia, John Ward, Mike Maxwell and Bobbie McKenzie. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park, with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. "Clarence Albert Poole, was a son of Fred and Docia Poole. Clarence married Lola Vines on June 20, 1936 in Bradley County. He died of a heart attack in Ashley Memorial Hospital. He is buried at the Pinewood Memorial Cemetery in Ashley County, Arkansas beside his wife, Lola. Lola was born and raised in Bradley County, Arkansas.
