Family of Francis Marion Rogers
Conributed by Patty Williams ChildressThe family of Francis Marion Rogers, born in Illinois and served in the Confederate 8th Missiouri Infantry. He was in Claiborne Parish in 1866 where he met and married Mary Ann Wilson, daughter of Josiah Wilson and Lucinda Nalla Hargis both born in Smith County, Tennessee. They moved to Arkansas in 1866 and returned to Claiborne Parish in 1879. I obtained this information from the Calla/Leonard web site. Josiah and Mary Ann are both buried in the Hebron Cemetery.
The family portrait was in the possession of my grandmother Addie Mae Thompson, daughter of Nancy Elizabeth Rogers and Franklin Elmore Thompson. She married Henry MacDonald Green, who was the son of Wiley Beauregard Green and Sarah Louise McLeland.
