General Query Ron Moseley I am seeking any information concerning riverboats and or captains from Ashley County.

Bates William G. Bates I am researching (long distance) the family of Marion Allen BATES in the Tafalgar area from just before 1860. I have noted the numerous names on the Trafalgar Cemetery but there are even more missing who are known to have died in the area and possibly closer to Hamburg that I am looking for burial information. As a side note, I have worked extensively with the GNIS listing with several new and updated features (cemetery locations) in Georgia and Alabama and am willing to issue listing requests to them with appropriate information.

Brady Shirley Looking for information on the Brady family who first settled in Arkansas by 1830. I believe Thomas Brady was from Mississippi and may have had 9 children. I think Samuel, Thomas, Jr., Nathaniel, William, Mariah and Lenora may be his children. Can anyone find a will, deed, etc. for this family? Thanks!

Causey Joe Metts Looking for information on James Monroe Causey family. They moved from Amite Co., MS to Ashley Co., Ar between 1860 and 1870.

Gray/Simms Ruby Gray Wallace Would like to correspond with anyone who has information on the Francis Marion GRAY who married Clara Beatrice SIMMS, 1868, in Ashley Co., ARK. I think her father was James Simms, who was listed as age 64, born in TN, on the 1880 Ashley Co., ARK census. There were three young GRAYs listed under the family of Minnie ANDREWS, who I believe to be a daughter of James Simms. I need information on these GRAY children......thanks.

Harper Carmen Does anyone know where General Sherman Harper is buried? A family member told me they believe he passed abt. 1950 and is buried in Hamburg, Arkansas. His son, Berry "Bunk" Harper is supposed to be in the same cemetery. Thanks.

Johnson Sue Howard I am trying to learn more about the John and Charlotte (McMillion) Johnson family who were in Ashley Co, Arkansas by 1860, at least. Actually, I'm trying to find out more about the parents of John Johnson - namely, Duncan and Ann/Anna Johnson, if there is any mention of them on any record there. Thanks for your help.

Nowlen/Nowlin Diane Yarbrough Looking for any and all information regarding James M Nowlin/Nowlen's 2nd wife Ann ?? and who her parents were. James and Ann were married 04 Nov 1865 in Ashley Co. James was born in TN 1822 and Ann was born in TN 1837. Both are last recorded together in an 1870 Portland Township, Ashley Co, AR census. Ann died sometime between 1870 - 1880. Children: Lucy Emma b 1866, Ferba b 1868, Nancy Jane b 1868 and James T b 1876 Veasy, Drew Co. James T may be the son of James M's 3rd marriage with Eva.
